The
Lamar County Historical Society is committed to
preserving the history of Paris, Lamar County and the surrounding area.
The LCHS meets the 4th Thursday
of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Museum.
Visitors are always welcome at our meetings.
Dues are $20.00 per year for an individual membership or $35.00 per family.
To join, click on "Membership Application," print the form on your printer,
complete the form and mail it with your dues to the address on the form.

Donations are always needed and appreciated!
Why not make a donation in honor of or in memory of someone?
Or you can designate that your donation be used for a particular purpose.

MUSEUM WORKERS RECEIVE VISIONARY AWARD
Members of the Lamar County Historical Society, who have worked diligently to get the
museum operational, were recognized at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce Banquet
on October 23, 2006. They received the Visionary Award presented by Arvin Starrett, chairman of the
City of Paris Historic Preservation Commission.
